The Salvation Army is able to work Thanksgiving and Christmas miracles for thousands of needy individuals and families each year through its various holiday programs and services. The campaign raises funds used year round to help people in need and help operate the three worship and community centers.

CHRISTMAS BELLS -  BELL RINGERS NEEDED
ADOPT A KETTLE PROGRAM

We are looking for companies, churches, school groups and civic groups to volunteer a day or more to ring bells at the traditional red kettle.  A few hours of bell ringing at a Salvation Army kettle will help keep a family warm this winter and assist a family during the holidays as well as throughout the new year.

In New Castle Countythe Kettle Drive begins in mid-November and runs daily through December 24th (except Thanksgiving and Sundays).   Our Kettle Office opens again in September.

For Sussex County Bellringing Volunteer Opportunities please contact Envoy Chas Engel at 302-628-2020.

SHOP FOR A CHILD. . .

SALVATION ARMY ANGEL TREES

Many families in the state of Delaware will be facing difficult financial hardships this holiday season, and will be unable to purchase Christmas gifts for their children.  The Salvation Army will be there to help bring smiles and joy into the lives of those families that need assistance.

That is why we will have Salvation Army Angel Trees at various places around the area.  You may select a child's card from the tree, shop for suggested items and return the gifts to the location where you selected the card.

The Angel Tree Locations will be set up and tags will be available at the Christiana Mall and Concord Mall beginning in mid November and ending in mid December. We need coverage at the Angel Tree from open to close of the Malls everyday.  Volunteers are needed to be at the tables to help shoppers select a tag and to accept and record gifts when they are dropped off. This project requires hundreds of volunteers.

You may also contact us to receive Angel Tree Cards.  If you plan to involve a group in the program and would like several angels, please call 302-472-0722. Angel Tree Locations include B.J.s Wholesale Club, and Superfresh.

Please call 302-472-0721 to schedule a two-hour shift (or more) at the Angel Tree.   For more information on how you can help us brighten the lives of thousands of children this year.
